For 40 years, Mateu has been one of the specialists at Puig, one of the most renowned perfume companies in the world. During this time he has developed numerous fragrances, all of which bear his personal signature: countless bestsellers for brands such as Paco Rabanne, Carolina Herrera, Nina Ricci, Ermenegildo Zegna, Quorum and Etienne Aigner. After working for some of the largest international brands, Mateu devoted part of his time to more ambitious projects such as the development of tailor-made perfumes, which led him to study subjects as diverse as Greek civilization, the Roman Empire or the paintings of Francis Bacon. In the latter, he took on the challenge of creating a fragrance for an exhibition dedicated to the English painter. He spent months studying the smell of paint, canvases, and even the era in which Bacon lived and worked. The result gives an idea of ​​the intensity of commitment that this experienced maestro brings to each of his projects. As one of the few perfumers in Europe, he was awarded the honorary title of “Maître Parfumeur” in 2010. In 2017 he took on a new challenge: the first creation of a collection under his own label - consisting of six noble fragrances that can be worn by men and women alike. With his collection, Rosendo Mateu has quickly proven why he is considered one of the best perfumers in the world. These are olfactory masterpieces from the hand of a creator who has dedicated almost his entire life to the world of fragrance.
